When one door closes, another one opens. I know, I know such an overused cliche. Fortunately, it fits this situation to a “T”.

Let’s create the stage for the story.

It’s two weeks before Christmas, and the employees of Kapp Advertising were given the news that they were either selling or closing at the end of the year. The advertisers who, for years, enjoyed advertising through Kapp Advertising would be at a loss with no distribution of The Merchandiser.

Knowing how much previous Kapp Sales Associate Angela DeSendi-Kriner enjoyed the creative processes, Lisa Cramer, her fellow previous Kapp Sales Associate, suggested to her that she start her own publication. So, with $1,000 in the bank and no knowledge of running a business, Angela was able to get all of the paperwork together and set the plan in motion in just two weeks. With several advertisers ready to promote the new business, the 12 page first edition of Your Advertiser was distributed on January 23, 2024, to 36 pickup locations, mostly in Lebanon County.

Oh, did I mention all of this was accomplished by one person with the help of 2 former coworkers?

Fast forward six plus months later, and Your Advertiser is chugging out their weekly publications with what has grown to be a team of five sales associates, a graphic designer, three administrative associates, and three circulation associates. With an average page count of 40 pages, it is now available at over 160 pickup locations in 5 counties. Where can you find Your Advertiser? Not on any website yet, but instead on Facebook.
